The Alpine Garden Society Victorian Group (AGSVG) is proposing to offer several small grants of up to $5000 each to meet its purposes of promoting and sharing knowledge of; propagating and cultivating; and protecting endangered and rare alpine plants.
Eligible funded activities or projects may include one or more of the following:
- Organise and conduct excursions or field research to observe and study alpine plants in their natural habitat
- Conduct public programs including education, social and community, seed exchange and / or research programs
- Disseminate information through education and community programs
- Produce, edit, publish, or otherwise circulate and preserve papers, periodicals, books, circulars and other literary matters concerning alpine plants and their habitat
- Encourage and promote greater community awareness in the knowledge and understanding of alpine plants and plant communities.
Grant applications must demonstrate how the proposed activity will achieve some or all the AGSVG’s purposes.
A broad range of individuals, organisations and groups can apply, however applicants must be able to demonstrate a history of commitment and achievement in the area of alpine plants.
An application can be submitted for more than one project by an organisation, individual or group. However, capacity to deliver outcomes will be considered as part of the assessment process.
Grant recipients must be based in Australia.
