Special International Guest
'On the flora of the Silk Road' by co-author Chris Gardner.
Botanist, photographer, tour guide and author Chris Gardner is making a special trip to Melbourne this September as guest speaker of the Alpine Garden Society (Victorian Group). Everyone is invited to this rare event to experience the fascinating flora of this fabled route from Europe to Asia. Chris will focus his talk on the flora of the silk Road, showing selected photographs of some of the more than 500 wild flowers and beautiful landscapes found in Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Central Asia and China.
At the conclusion of the talk, will be Q&A session followed by a discussion on photographing plants and landscapes based on flora of Chile.
